UK PonyCon 2018
Spreading the magic with Tails of Equestria
Last weekend we had the pleasure of attending UK PonyCon, which was this year in River Horse home territory, Nottingham! Much like last year’s convention, we brought Tails of Equestria to the show with a stall full of pony goodness, as well as demo sessions running throughout both days.
At last year’s convention, we were able to introduce Tails of Equestria to many people who had never seen the game before. This year it was amazing to meet loads of fans who have played and enjoyed running their own campaigns! We loved hearing stories from your home games, many of which involved playing through the adventure modules, Curse of the Statuettes and Festival of Lights. It’s always interesting to hear how different groups can have wildly different experiences, even when playing through the same adventure.
Speaking of adventure, we had a fantastic time running demo sessions at UK PonyCon. Throughout the weekend we had over 50 people sit at our table, which means over 50 Pony Characters created across 12 different adventures! We had a gruff Dragon captain, a learned professor of ‘Old Ponish’, an elegant Earth Pony guided by the stars, and many more. Some groups found themselves deep below the surface in Umberfoal, exploring Capstone Fort, or bumping into an angry Flumph. Others were soaring through the southern skies in an airship, pursued by the Storm King’s minions. Wherever the adventure went, each group was a unique and creative experience, which both our demonstrators and players really enjoyed!
